Ingredients (6)
- 8 lemons
- 2L (8 cups) cold water
- 220g (1 cup) caster sugar
- 1 vanilla bean, split
- 1/4 tsp cardamom seeds
- Crushed ice, to serve
Method
- Step 1 Cut lemons in half. Juice half the lemons. Place remaining lemons in a jug.
- Step 2 Combine the lemon juice, water, sugar, vanilla bean and cardamom seeds in a saucepan and stir over low heat until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat.
- Step 3 Pour the water mixture over the lemon halves in the jug. Cover and place in the fridge for 2 hours to chill.
- Step 4 To serve, place crushed ice in serving glasses and pour over spiced lemonade.
